Mia“Mia” is currently training in herding and obedience. Mia is a joy to work on sheep! She has a beautiful pace behind the ewes, and even though Mia is small in stature, she has enough presence and speed to stay well off her sheep but remain in control. Mia is very bright, and she learns quickly. Her obedience training is coming along slowly, however, but it is solely due to her owner’s lack of time. Mia will start working on her AKC herding championship this summer. (Mia is also a granddaughter of Andy.)

October 2006 News: Mia is a Herding Champion!
Mia completed her HXAs title in May 2006, and began working towards her Herding Champion title. She earned more than enough points for the title in just three weekends, including two first places, a second place, and a High in Trial! Mia also earned her HSBs title this year, with two back-to-back first places! In September 2006, Mia started in her first Novice/Novice trials at the NEBCA & USBCHA-sanctioned NJ State Sheepdog Trials, and placed 3rd and 5th.
